<p>In a relay-controlled load in a motor vehicle, which load is intended to be switched off again automatically a predetermined time after its switching-on, the circuit for switching on the relay (22) is connected via the working contact (24) of the relay, which contact is located in the circuit of the load and is coupled to an actuation mechanism (20, 21, 27 and 20, 21, 27, 28, 29, respectively) in order to be able to open the contact (24) manually as required, to close it and to be able to lock it in the closed position.
