<p>The process consists of (a) applying coatings of paint, each with a distinct degree of resistance to corrosion by hydrofluoric acid, through different silk screens to the matt side of a glass pane, to form designs; (b) after the paint is dry, the pane is immersed in a single bath of the acid, when the zones are attacked at different rates dependent on the resistance of the coatings; and (c) washing to remove acid and cleaning to remove paint residues.</p> |
