PURPOSE:To form a strong foundation in soft ground by a method in which a strip footing is formed on the top side of a cap fitted on the head of a pile, and the cavity of the pile and the foundation are integrally connected with iron bars and concrete through the vertical circular hole of the cap. CONSTITUTION:A strut pile 2 is constructed, excavation is made for a cap 3 and a strip footing 1, and the cap 3 is fitted on the head of the pile. Reinforcing iron bars 5 are inserted into the cavity 2B the pile 2 and the vertical circular hole 3B of the cap 3, and concrete 6 is placed to a level corresponding to 1/2 of the vertical circular hole 3B. The centering and making of the foundation are made by utilizing the upper end face of the cap 3, a formwork 7 is set, concrete 8 is placed and hardened, and then the formwork 7 is removed. Soil and sand are back-filled to a given position and compacted sufficiently to form the foundation 1. |
