<p>The equipment consists of a filament cutter using knives, placed at the head of extruder, and equipped with water spray jets inside chamber to cool the chopped particles. This is followed by a number of trays, stepped in a cascade through which pass the wet granules and the cooling water. The last tray is constructed as a vibrator with a filter base to separate the granules and water. A hopper receives the wet granules and they are conveyed to hydro-extractor, through which they are blown by air in a rising helical trajectory. They pass finally to a cyclone-type drier.</p> |
