PURPOSE:To protect a marine structure from corrosion by adhering minerals in the sea water to a metal net by a method in which a metal net serving as a cathode is provided through an insulator to the periphery of legs supporting the marine structure, a conductor serving as an anode is set on the circumference of the cathode, and an electric current is flowed. CONSTITUTION:A metal net serving as a cathode is wound around the periphery of a steel pile 1 as a leg to support a structure, e.g., pier, etc., through an insulator 4, e.g., plastic film, etc., and a conductor 5 serving as an anode is set in the circumference of the cathode. When a weak current is flowed between the electrodes, minerals 7, e.g., CaCO3, Mg(OH)2, etc., dissolved in the sea water are electrically deposited on the metal net 3 to cover the pile 1 with the minerals 7. |
