PURPOSE:To enable a high load to be transmitted by a belt device and increase its life, by arranging holding pieces in the longitudinal direction of an endless flexible belt member and setting supporting points, in which the neighboring holding pieces are swung with each other, in the vicinity of a non-flexed belt position when the endless flexible belt member is curved. CONSTITUTION:A belt device 10 parallelly arranges two endless flexible belt members 2, 3, equipping contact surfaces 21, 31 forced to be touched to a pulley, to be held by both side parts of plural holding pieces 4 at a prescribed distance apart, and successively arranges the holding pieces 4 in the longitudinal direction of the belt members 2, 3. Supporting points P, in which the holding members 4, 4 neighboring to each other are mutually swivelled, are set in the vicinity of a non-flexed belt position when the belt members 2, 3 are curved, accordingly the holding pieces 4 can be successively arranged by being placed as approximate as possible without causing any decrease of flexibility of the belt members 2, 3. As a result, suppressing flection of the belt members 2, 3 toward the center side, a higher load can be transmitted than that by an endless flexible belt in an equal size, thus the life of the belt device 10 can be improved. |
