发明名称 METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PRODUCING LIGHT-GAGE ALLOY STRIP
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain continuously a broad and long-sized light-gage alloy strip having a clean surface with a simple additive device in a production process wherein a molten metal is ejected on rotating work rolls by maintaining the part around the tip of an ejecting nozzle in an inert gaseous atomsphere and the part right under the rolls under a low pressure. CONSTITUTION:A molten metal is ejected from an ejecting nozzle 2 onto a work roll pair 6 rotating at a high speed right under the nozzle and contacts with said rolls, by which the molten metal is quickly cooled and rolled to a light-gage alloy strip 7. Inert gas such as Ar or N2 is discharged from an inert gas discharging nozzle 5 provided near the nozzle 2 to maintain the part near the nozzle 2 in the inert gaseous atmosphere. The high discharging pressure of the nozzle 5 and a large amt. of discharge are not required for the above-mentioned purpose. The ejection of the molten metal is therefore stabilized. A guide chamber 8 opened long toward the lower side is provided right under the rolls 6 in proximity to the rolls 6 as far as possible. The inside of the chamber is evacuated from the duct 9 thereof to maintain the part right under the rolls under the pressure lower than the pressure in the part right above the rolls. The influence of turbulent flow generated around the rolls 6 is thus eliminated and a large amt. of the strip 7 is produced continuously.
