<p>EP---7139 A Each capacitor (1) in the pack is cylindrical and located axially parallel to identical capacitors inside a metal box (2). Heat is removed from the capacitors by tapes (3) made of thermally conducting material. The tapes loop closely around each capacitor and are pressed at their ends against two opposite walls of the box. Each tape consits of a C-shaped part that fits tightly around a capacitor, a straight end pressed between the capacitor and the wall of the box, and a continuing end that leads into another C-shaped part fitting tightly around the adjacent capacitor. - The open sides of the Cs face in the same direction. The tapes have width roughly equal to the length of the capacitors. The part joining two adjacent Cs. acts as a spring pressing the capacitors outwards towards the opposing walls of the box.</p> |
