An arrangement in association with anaesthesia masks which exhibit a connection 19 for a unit for supplying anaesthetic gas and a connection 18 for a suction unit. The first connection 19 is arranged to be in communication with a space 12 which is in communication with the respiratory organs of the patient who is to be given anaesthesia by means of the mask while the second connection 18 is arranged to be in communication with an edge region 4, 5 of the mask for aspirating gas which leaks out from the said space 12. The mask is provided with a manually adjustable valve 15. In a first position, the valve maintains the said communication between the first connection 19 and the space 12 and between the second connection 18 and the edge region 4, 5.
