PURPOSE:To prevent failure of function of a power steering device by producing an alarm when output signals from detection elements are not matched. CONSTITUTION:Upon operation of a steering wheel 1 when such a fault has occurred as one of the slide switches 43, 44 in a steering detector 19 will be normal open, a solenoid 26b is grounded through a slide switch 44 in said detector 19 and a detection switch 6 to close the contactor 26a in a relay 26. Consequently a motor 22 will drive a pump 23 to produce auxiliary steering force to provide comfortable steering feeling to the driver. But the terminal (q) connected to one slide switch 44 of said detector 19 is connected to a battery 25 to have high potential while the terminal (p) connected to the other slide switch 43 is grounded to have low potential. Consequently an alarm system 33 is functioned to produce an alarm. |
