PURPOSE:To eliminate a slack of recording paper and enable said paper to be correctly adjusted to a recording startup position by allowing recording paper carrying means to be sent in the feed direction and commencing recording after reaching a home position when said paper is wound back by driving the recording paper carrying means in the backward direction. CONSTITUTION:A drum is allowed to rotate counterclockwise to wind back recording paper until the drum reaches a home position by giving a reverse rotational torque to a platen 1. This home position is identified by detecting a douser 30a provided on the internal surface of the drum 7 with the help of a transmission-type photosensor 30b. Even after the overrumming of the drum rotating counterclockwise beyond the home position, the drum is allowed to rotate only by required steps and then the drum 7 and platen 1 are stopped. Thus a slack of recording paper can be removed by once feeding the paper without actual processing and again winding back the paper to an initial position. As described above, it is possible to adjust the recording paper to a recording startup position accurately without color shaft. |
