PURPOSE:To feed automatically the front end of a fresh wire rod when a wire rod is used to the terminal by forming a titled device in such a way that the front end of the coiled wire rod placed on a rotary carrier is set automatically in a feed section. CONSTITUTION:A wire rod 16 which is wound into a coiled shape is placed on a rotary carrier 15, and the front end of the rod 16 is held in a holder 18 provided to the carrier 15. Said carrier 15 is placed on stage 8 of a main carrier body 1. When the rotary carrier is rotated by a rotating mechanism 10, a mechanism 20 for stopping the carrier in a home position upon sensing with a position sensor controls the mechanism 10 to stop the carrier 15 in the specified position. Then, a mechanism 23 for feeding the wire rod receives the front end of the rod 16 from the holder 18 and feeds the frontend to a feed section 22. |
