PURPOSE:To lower hygroscopicity of a toner, to raise fluidity, and to enable formation of an image superior in resolution even in an environment of high humidity by incorporating a silica powder having a trimethyl silyl group in addition to a binder resin and a colorant. CONSTITUTION:A toner contains a binder, such as polystyrene, its copolymers, other vinyl polymer, or polyester, a colorant, and further, a silica powder having a trimethyl silyl group (preferably having <=5% hygroscopic degree when it is kept for 10hr in 80% relative humidity and 25 deg.C atm.) in an amt. of 0.01-10wt% of the toner. A magnetic powder is further added in the case of a one-component toner. As a result, the obtained toner is good in fluidity even at high temp. and in high humidity. |
