<p>PURPOSE:To provide such an arrangement that a movable cover is automatically moved on a stationary cover when a paper feed cassette is set in a copying machine or the like, to open the paper feed port of the cassette body, and the movable cover is automatically returned to its original position when the cassette is reset, to close the paper feed port. CONSTITUTION:Upon using, a stationary cover 5 and a movable cover 6 are attached to a paper feed cassette body 3 in which papers are beforehand stored. Thereby the movable cover 6 is pressed in the direction of paper feed by receiving the resilient force of a resilient member 14 through a stopper 20, and the paper feed port 10 of the stationary cover 5 is closed since stoppers 11, 11' of the stationary cover 5 are fitted in recesses 17, 17' in the side plates 15, 15' of the movable cover 6. Then, when the paper feed cassette body 3 is pushed into a cassette receiving port in a copying machine, projecting pieces 18, 18' of the movable cover 6 abut against a stopper section in the cassette receiving port, and therefore, the movable cover comes to a stop. As a result, the front ends of the cassette body 3 and the stationary cover 5 are inserted into the copying machine, thereby the paper feed port 10 is automatically opened.</p> |
