<p>PURPOSE:To effectively treat combustion unsuitable substance without generating public nuisance, by constituting a combustion unsuitable substance melting and gasifying apparatus from an electric furnace, a secondary combustion chamber, a remaining heat boiler and a turbogenerator. CONSTITUTION:Combustion unsuitable substance such as plastic is treated in a combustion unsuitable substance melting and gasifying apparatus having main parts such as an electric furnace 2, a secondary combustion chamber 3, a remaining heat boiler 4 and a turbogenerator 5. Whereupon, thermal decomposition gas containing noxious gas is generated in the electric furnace 2 but guided to the secondary combustion chamber 3 and completely burnt by fresh air from an air nozzle 16 while steam generated in the remaining heat boiler 4 is sent to the turbogenerator 5 and the generated power is supplied to the carbon electrode 10 of the furnace 2. By this method, the combustion unsuitable substance is treated in a public nuisance free state without reclaiming the same.</p> |
