PURPOSE:To eliminate futile copies due to erroneous selection of magnification by judging whether magnification selected at present is life-size or not when starting copying, and starting copying when it is life-size and making indication by sound when it is not life-size. CONSTITUTION:A push switch 43, a two-step action switch, and a speed synthesizing device 41 are connected to a controlling section 40 and a controlling program related to copy key action is stored beforehand in a memory ROM of the controlling section 40. When an operator designates magnification, number of sheets and size of paper and depresses the copy key, the first contact SW1 is closed, and it is judged whether magnification selected at present is life-size or not. When it is life-size, copying action is performed. When it is not life-size indication by sound is made through a speaker 42. When the copy key is depressed again after confirming magnification, the second contact SW2 is closed and copying action is started. Thus, users who normally want life-size copies are protected from making unnecessary enlarged copies or reduced copies. |
