The invention concerns a jack 3 with asymmetric longitudinal sides, comprising an articulation fork 19. The fork 19 is part of a support base 20 firmly connected to the jack 3. This fork 19 is offset in the direction of 18 on its support plate 20, laterally with respect to the longitudinal axis 22 of the jack 3, transversely with respect to its own axis of articulation 8. According to an advantageous embodiment, the support plate 20 of the articulation fork 19 is mounted such that it pivots about a shaft 23 supported by the jack, and provided with retaining means constituted by a washer 26. The screws 21 constitute the means of fixing the support plate 20. These means of fixing are adapted to firmly connect the jack 3 to the support plate 20 in either one of two symmetrical positions provided. <IMAGE> |
