The emergency exit comprises a door hinged about its bottom edge which is surrounded by a frame. The top of the frame incorporates a housing which encloses the door opening mechanism. The mechanism consists of a rotatable axis actuated by levers which carry handles at their free ends. - Rods guided by holes in strips engage into holes arranged in the top of the door to hold the door shut. Forks secured to the axis act on a shaft extending between the rods so that when the levers are pulled, the rods are raised releasing the door and allowing it to pivot open.(0/7)
