Use of crystallisation accelerators for polyesters which can be shaped by transfer moulding

The crystallisation accelerators used are compounds which contain at least one aromatic ring in the form of a benzene, naphthalene or anthracene ring, at least one sulphone/alkali metal salt group, and at least one phenolic hydroxyalkali metal salt group. The crystallisation accelerators can be added to the polyester before, during or after polymerisation thereof. The resultant mixture can be shaped at a transfer mould temperature of 80 - 120 DEG C. The addition of the crystallisation accelerator substantially increases the crystallisation rate of the resultant polyester mixture. This enables on the one hand transfer moulding of polyesters which were hitherto not suitable at all for this method of processing, and on the other hand enables transfer moulding of polyesters which are suitable therefor at a greatly increased moulding cycle rate.
