PURPOSE:To make a projection type television small in size by dividing a luminous flux of a video tube into two, and placing four mirrors in a cabinet so that said luminous flux is magnified and projected without a focus shift to the upper part and the lower part of a transmission type screen. CONSTITUTION:Video tubes of green, red and blue are arrayed downwards in the upper part of a cabinet 1, and a transmission type screen 25 is placed in front of the cabinet. A luminous flux from a video type 2G of green is magnified by a lens 4G, divided into two luminous fluxes 14, 15 by the first and the second mirrors 11, 12, bent upward, also bent by the third and the fourth mirrors 16, 17, and they become luminous fluxes 18, 19 and are projected to the upper part and the lower part of a screen 5. As to red and blue, too, said processing is executed in the same way. In that case, a mirror is placed so that a focus shift, etc. do not occur. Therefore, a space occupied by a luminous flux becomes small, and it is possible to make a projection type television small in size. |
