PURPOSE:To prevent a wire material from being damaged by a taking-up drum, by operating a press-fitting roller by detecting the approach of the wire material to the taking-up drum and permitting automatic covering for the wire material with cushion material, when the wire material is taken-up onto the taking-up drum. CONSTITUTION:When a wire material 1 is taken-up onto a taking-up drum 3, a detector 4 detects the passage of the wire material 1, and a press-fitting roller 5 is attached under pressure onto the lower edge surface of the wire material by said signal. Then, a cushion material 6 such as Kraft paper set in still state onto the press-fitting roller 5 is attached under pressure onto the wire material 1 by the press-fitting roller 5, and sent with the wire material 1 to the taking-up drum 3. In this case, the cushion material 6 is rounded by a correcting device 8 and used for coating the wire material 1. Thus, the wire material 1 is prevented from being damaged by the collar part of the taking-up drum 3. Thus, the cushion material can be automatically supplied, and the working performance can be improved. |
