PURPOSE:To omit a forcibly commutating circuit to simplify the circuit constitution, by operating an exciting thyristor bridge as a power rectifier to charge a commutating capacitor and operating a transferring thyristor bridge as an inverter. CONSTITUTION:An exciting thyristor bridge 2 is connected to the secondary side of a transformer 1, and this bridge 2 is connected in series to a transferring thyristor bridge 3, and an energy storage coil 4 and a by-pass thyristor 5 are connected in parallel between both ends. A commutating capacitor 6 and a load thyristor bridge 7 are connected in parallel to the AC terminal of the transferring bridge 3, and a load coil 8 is connected to the bridge 7. The exciting bridge 2 is operated as a power rectifier and the transferring bridge 3 is operated as a by-pass pair to store energy. The transferring bridge 3 is operated as an inverter and the load bridge 7 is operated as a power rectifier with respect to transfer of energy, thus exciting the load coil 8. |
