PURPOSE:To ensure pulse oscillation synchronized with oscillating and stopping signals, by providing an electrode on the outer surface wall of a discharge tube, performing laser oscillation by glow discharge, and applying a high frequency voltage, which is synchronized with a pulse oscillating pulse signal, to the electrode. CONSTITUTION:Diodes are connected in a bridge form, and a DC high voltage power source 1 is provided. A pulse signal is inputted to a pulse signal terminal 5, a transistor 6 is switched, and oscillation is repeated in a pulse form. A high frequency generating circuit 7 is a high frequency generating circuit, which uses the pulse signal as a signal source and utilizes LC resonance. High frequency pulses are generated through a transformer 8. An electrode 9 is provided at the center of the outer surface wall of a glow discharge tube 2. The high frequency pulses are applied to the terminal from the transformer 8. |
