PURPOSE:To improve the performance of a terminal system by applying polling to a communication line only to which a terminal device is connected in a polling control section of a terminal controller so as to reduce the polling interval time. CONSTITUTION:Transmitter/receivers 4a-4d of the polling control section are provided with a device 17 managing whether or not terminal devices 6a-6b are connected. The transmitter/receivers 4c, 4d not connected with the terminal device are selected by a terminal selecting device 3 by connecting state information outputted from the device 17, only the transmitter/receivers 4a, 4b connected with the terminal device are selected and polling operation is performed. |
