PURPOSE:To reproduce both systems without operating a changeover switch by discriminating the NTSC and the PAL systems recording a signal based on the number of pulses of a capstan FG signal between he reproducing control signals. CONSTITUTION:A binary counter 1 reset by a control pulse CTL applied via a delay circuit 3 counts the number of pulses of the capstan FG signal. This count value is applied to edge trigger FF2 of D type taking the CTL as the clock input. Then, the output of the FF2 is applied to an integration circuit 4. When the integration circuit 4is at high level, the system is discriminated as the NTSC system and when low level, the system is discriminated as the PAL system. Thus, both systems are reproduced without operating the changeover switch by utilizing the output of the integration circuit 4. |
