PURPOSE:To divide a large number of pairs of horizontal deflection electrodes, which are set up so as to put a passage of an electron beam between every horizontal section, into (n) groups while adding independently a horizontal deflection signal every group of divided horizontal deflection electrodes for making it possible to correct the horizontal deflection every group. CONSTITUTION:A rear electrode 1, a line cathode 2, vertical focusing electrodes 3 and 3', a vertical deflection electrode 4, a beam stream control electrode 5, a horizontal focusing electrode 6, a horizontal deflection electrode 7, a beam acceleration electrode 8 and a screen 9 are arranged. A phosphor 20 is applied to the screen 9 while the phosphor 20 is provided with two pairs of tricolor phosphors in R, G, B for every one slit 14 of the electrode 5 in a row. The electrode 7 has electrodes 18 and 18' for every section so as to put the passage of the electron beam between while horizontal deflection voltage is impressed on the electrodes 18 and 18' for irradiating the phosphors in R, G, B by turns in order to make them to radiate. The electrodes 18 and 18' are divided into two while the horizontal deflection electrodes 18a and 18a' and the horizontal deflection electrodes 18b and 18b' are provided independently thus making it possible to correct horizontal deflection of every group by impressing independent horizontal deflection voltage. |
