PURPOSE:To ensure the detection of the rotating speed of a vehicle by a simple constitution, by measuring the quantity, which is proportional to the rotary angle based on inductance change, and performing the multiplying operation of the quantity, which is proportional to a running speed. CONSTITUTION:A rotary body 10 is rotated as a unitary body with the rotation of the rotary shaft of a front wheel in the running plane of a vehicle. Together with the rotary body 10, a ferromagnetic body is inserted and taken out in and out of a pair of coils of a variable inductor 30, which is fixed to a body. An output from an oscillator 80 is applied to the variable inductor 30. A voltage, which corresponds to inductance variation proportional to the rotary angle is generated by the variable inductor 30. A signal porportional to the rotary angle is measured through a voltage detector 40, a bandpass filter 60, a phase detector circuit 70, and a low pass filter 90. Said signal and a signal proportional to a vehicle running speed from a running speed signal generating means 100 are processed in a multiplier circuit 110. Thus the detection of the running speed of the vehicle in the simple constitution without gas flow deviation sensor and the like can be ensured. |
