PURPOSE:To increase the width of the tees of an armature and to reduce the length of the tees by directing an outside coil toward the peripheral direction of the armature in the longitudinal direction of the coil, directing an inside coil toward the central direction of the armature in the longitudinal direction of the coil, and winding the coil in the slots of the armature. CONSTITUTION:In an armature in which formed coil of flat or elliptical shape in section is wound in an armature, an outside coil 5 of flat or elliptical section is directed toward the peripheral direction of the aramature, an inside coil 6 of the same shape as the outside coil is directed toward the center of the armature in the longitudinal direction of the coil, and wound in the slots of the armature. In this manner, the diameter (d') of the armature core to the bottom of the slot restricted by the inside coil increases. Accordingly, the width of the magnetic passage between the slots, i.e., the width (t') of the tees increases, and the magnetic circuit resistance decreases. |
