PURPOSE:To decide total number of digits to be received by a calling subscriber with a calling side exchange, by informing the result deciding the number of digits to be received with an incoming exchange to a preceding exchange and adding the number of digits and that to be received with the own station at a relay exchange receiving the information and repeating this procedure. CONSTITUTION:When a controller CC3 discriminates total number of digits (n), the n-digit information is transmitted to the preceding exchange EX2 via a register REG3, and when it is received by a controller CC2, a number of digits (m) of specific number for outgoing connection of the exchange EX2 is added to the n-digit information and the resulting (n+m)-digit information is returned to the preceding exchange EX1. The controller CC1 can discriminate the total number of digits to be dialed during the outgoing connection of a calling subscriber SUBA by receiving the (n+m)-digit information and when the dial number from the subscriber SUBA reaches the (n+m)-digit, the state is transited from the number transmitting state to the busy state. |
