PURPOSE:To obtain a salient-pole synchronous machine which has no local overhead portion and high efficiency by increasing the specific magnetic permeability of a wedge inserted into a part substantially opposed to the rotor pole terminal board of a stator core slot larger than that of the wedge inserted into the other part. CONSTITUTION:A stator coil 8 is inserted into the slot of a stator core 2, and rigidly fixed by a wedge 9 so that the coil may not electromagnetically vibrate and may not be removed from the slot. At this time, a so-called magnetic wedge 9a which has 2.0 or more of specific magnetic permeability is inserted into the part 10 of the length opposed at the pole terminal board of a rotor, and a wedge 9b formed of a normal insulator is inserted into the other part. In this manner, the pulsation in the magnetic flux due to the slot of the stator core can be suppressed, the loss of the head of the pole terminal board can be reduced, overheat is prevented, and a salient-pole synchronous machine having high efficency can be provided. |
