PURPOSE:To reduce erroneous operation, provide a device capable of resisting noise and enable a high speed operation by a method wherein a point where a brightness value or a rate of variation of brightness becomes a predetermined value is detected as a combustion finishing point. CONSTITUTION:When an incinerater H is observed through an industrial television (ITV), it shows that a high voltage is found in a combustion zone Q due to a flame of high brightness and a low voltage is found in an ash zone R. When voltages corresponding to one scan line are integrated, a mean brightness at the position can be calculated. In order to calculate the position of combustion finishing point P, a slice level of brightness is specified by a parameter and a distance showing the specified brightness may be found. Therefore, since a sensing parameter is based on one brightness level, the processing is easy and few erroneous operation is made. The brightness signal is made to show its mean value, so that the device is capable of enduring electrical or image noises. |
