PURPOSE:To perform the partial rewriting, erasing, or additional writing of a display picture by allowing a picture forming means to move to and from a picture carrier and spacing them during the movement. CONSTITUTION:A developer 11 is in contact with the surface of a photosensitive body 2 at the 1st position 10 and not in contact at the 2nd position. When the display picture is edited by partial writing, erasing, or additional writing, editing keys 25 are operated after a display process is completed to move the display picture to a desired position when the editing is carried out while looking at the display picture. A developing device 10 is at the 2nd position in said period, and such a trouble that the previously displayed picture is disordered is not caused. A signal source selection key 26 is operated to select a picture signal to be edited next. Namely, a desired page is selected among plural page memories. |
