PURPOSE:To offer a comfortable and less heat-loss space heater by a method wherein a heat obtained from the upper part of a heated room is utilized for cooling of the upper part of the room and utilized for heating of the lower part of the room. CONSTITUTION:At a heating operation due to the low temperature inside of a room 4, a burner 12 is burned, a solenoid valve 10 is also turned ON and opened, a refrigerant is evaporated after heated with a refrigerant heater 6, then changed to a high temperature and high pressure gas refrigerant, sucked into a compressor 7, discharged from the compressor, introduced into the second indoor heat exchanger 20 through a by-pass circuit 11, further, introduced into the first indoor heat exchanger 18 through a solenoid valve 23, thus, heats the first and second heat exchangers. When a temperature detecting element 24 detects that the temperature of the upper part of a room is heated up to the designated temperature by the heating, a heating operation is changed-over to heat utilizing operation, the burning of the burner 12 is stopped. The second indoor heat exchanger 20 acts as a condenser, the first indoor heat exchanger 18 acts as a evaporator, a blast caused by a blower 19 is directed toward upper direction of a room 2, a blast caused by a blower 21 is directed toward lower direction of the room 2, then the distribution of temperature inside of the room is made uniform, the uncomfortableness in a living area is eliminated, further, energy saving can be achieved. |
