PURPOSE:To reproduce a picture with fidelity by weighing with a dot around a dot corresponding to the resolution of a display device, adding and averaging them to keep the continuity among the dots. CONSTITUTION:An A/D converter 1 converts a video signal into a digital signal in 6-bit and inputs this signal to a shift register 2, where the signal is shifted. A shifted data is latched by a latch circuit 3 and outputted to a buffer circuit 4. When the resolution is reduced to a half, the low-order 1st bit and 2nd bit of the latch circuit 3 are added 5, the 4th and 5th bits are added 6 and further, an output of the adder 5 and the 3rd bit of the latch circuit 3 are added 7, an output of the adder 6 and the 3rd bit of the latch circuit 3 are added 8 for averaging horizontal dots and the result is outputted from buffer circuits 9, 10. When the resolution is further reduced to a half, an output of the adders 7, 8 is added to an adder 11, the 6th and 7th bits of the latch circuit 3 are added at an adder 12 and an adder 14 is provided for averaging. |
