PURPOSE:To grasp the life of a destaticization lamp accurately by detecting a potential by a surface potential detection part provided between a destaticization part and a cleaning part. CONSTITUTION:The residual charge on a photosensitive drum 1 is removed after a visible image is transferred to a form 10, and the surface potential of the photosensitive drum 1 is detected by a surface potential detector 7 and an after image on the photosensitive drum 1 is removed by cleaning parts 8a and 9. The potential on this photosensitive drum 1 is detected by the surface potential detection part 1; if the potential is >=100V, influence upon print quality is exerted, so it is judged in this case that the quantity of light from the destaticization lamp is not sufficient; and an alarm is generated and the destaticization lamp is replaced. |
