<p>PURPOSE:To perform stable fixation by stabilizing the conveyance of a continuous transfer material through the operation of a position control means which shifts a fixing device in position and preventing wrinkles of the transfer material or left-right variation in fixation performance during fixing operation. CONSTITUTION:Detection parts 46 and 46a detect the displacement of the transfer material 18 to one side and then control parts 47 and 47a output control signals by said detection. Position control mechanism 48 and 48a for, for example, a plunger are operated by the control signals and a fixing device 50 is rotated to correct the displacement of the transfer material 18 to one side. For example, when the transfer material 18 is displaced to the left side, the fixing device 50 rotates counterclockwise around a rotating shaft 37 through the operation of the position control mechanism by an angle theta corresponding to the displacement of the transfer material 18. Consequently, the moving direction of the displaced transfer material 18 crosses the axial line of the rotation of rollers 26 and 27 at right angles to stop the displacement of the transfer material to the left side, returning to a normal conveyance process.</p> |
