The invention relates to a capacitive displacement sensor arrangement integrated with members of the jack type. One of the armatures is made up by the piston 3 and its rod 4 which are drilled with a bore 8. The other armature is an axial rod 7 which is fixed and electrically insulated from the piston 3 and from the cylinder 1. This rod is engaged with small clearance in the bore 8 in the piston. The cylinder constitutes a shield for this device. Amongst the applications of the invention, mention may be made of the measurement of the displacement and of the position of the rods of jacks or shock absorbers; the measurements of the quantities of fluid displaced by piston pumps and syringes; this capacity of hydraulic accumulators; the measurement of displacement or dimensions of parts. <IMAGE>
