The two parts of a connector are each formed by a body 1, 2 made from insulating material which carry, respectively, contacts, such as pin contacts 3 and socket contacts 4. The contacts 3, 4 are mounted on supports 9, 10 which are guided onto the body 1, 2 by guide means transverse to ribs 13, 14 and grooves 15, 16 and which are prevented from moving by sliding sleeves 11, 12. <IMAGE>
