The invention relates to a system for removing pulverulent or granular products from a silo or from a storage area, of the type with a discharge point at the centre 3 and with a screw 9 or chain which is capable of moving the product in the direction of the discharge point 3. A screw 9 is controlled by means of a planetary angular transmission, transmitting a vertical rotational movement into a horizontal rotational movement of the said screw or chain, characterised in that the said control unit 5 is protected by a protective cab comprising a part in the shape of a cone 11, point upwards, covering over the angular transmission 7 without obstructing the discharge point 3 and a linking tunnel linking the said part in the shape of a cone towards the outside of the silo or storage area. <IMAGE>
