<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate necessity for use of large torque by energizing a motor driving means if the steering torque is larger than a preset reference torque, by energizing motor driving means if smaller, and thereby making constant the torque required to steer regardless of the car speed. CONSTITUTION:A motor energizing driver B15 and a motor control circuit B13 are connected with the output terminals of a logical control circuit. Four switching transistors Q1-Q4 for energization of the motor and switching transistors Q5, Q6 for applying brakes to the motor are connected with the output terminals of said logical control circuit B14 through base drivers BD. If the torque applied to the steering shaft exceeds a reference torque preset by a variable resistor VR1, the output of a comparator B8 becomes at the strengthening level to turn on the transistors Q1-4 so as to impress the strengthening torque, and if below said reference torque a braking torque will be in action.</p> |
