PURPOSE:To simplify a recording and reproducing mechanism by forming a thin film head array manufactured by applying a photolithography method to a laminated thin film, on both surfaces of one substrate. CONSTITUTION:A thin film head can be formed by arranging continuously in the lateral direction by utilizing an advantage of a manufacturing method of a photolithography method. The thin film head arrayed in this way is used, and as for an erasing head, it is also possible to arrange the thin film head of the number equal to the number of tracks, but for instance, a sound recording and reproducing head 13 and an erasing head 14 are stuck to an adhesive surface 15 on the back face of a substrate, so that one erasing head 14 corresponds to two tracks. It is said that such head has three combined functions of sound recording, reproducing and erasion. |
