A lighting fixture having a beam direction that can be adjusted inside a cone in an arbitrary fashion, in particular for fastening in a cutout of a wall or roof trim of a motor vehicle, having a holder divided into a rear (20) and a front (22) retaining part, and a light source (3) which can be fitted such that it can pivot to all sides inside the holder, includes a light exit (15), and maintains its respective position relative to the holder by means of a brake, is characterised in that a ring (24) is mounted in the holder such that it can pivot about a fixed axis, and in that the light source (3) is mounted in the ring such that it can pivot about an axis which is fixed relative to the ring and encloses an angle of 90 DEG with the fixed axis.
