摘要 PURPOSE:To reduce expense required for adjusting an azimuth by discriminating and adjusting an azimuth angle of a magnetic head to be measured, to a reference line by an output of the magnetic head to be measured, corresponding to a high frequency magnetic field generated by two magnetic head shaped-members. CONSTITUTION:When a gap center point G0 of a magnetic head to be measured 7 is made to conform with a point O3, both ends of a gap G of a magnetic head to be measured 7'' are overlapped with a gap G2 of two magnetic head-shaped members 18, 19 of an azimuth adjusting means 11, respectively, and by a high frequency magnetic field of the same frequency and the opposite phase generated from each gap G2, an output corresponding to an area difference of the part in which the gap G is overlapped with G2 is obtained from an amplifier connected to the head 7''. The head 7'' is adjusted as to its rotating movement centering around the point G0, monitoring said output, and an angle by which an output becomes zero is searched. In this state, when the head 7 is tacked to the auxiliary member, the head 7 is fixed at an azimuth angle of zero to the reference surface of the auxiliary member.
