PURPOSE:To improve the safety of blast operation and to make a blast apparatus small in size and simple by incorporating an oxygen enricher into the blast system, and using oxygen enriched air as air to be blown into a blast furnace. CONSTITUTION:A compressor 12 is driven by a motor 13, and compressed air discharged from the compressor 12 is introduced into an oxygen enricher 11, where the air is enriched with oxygen by passing through a membrane permeable selectively to oxygen to increase the oxygen content to about 25-30%. The oxygen enriched air is heated in a hot stove 15 and blown into a blast furnace 16. |
