PURPOSE:To obtain an optical recording medium having extremely less deterioration in reproduction, exceptionally outstanding heat resistance, high sensitivity and a high S/N ratio by laminating a vinyl polymer layer having -COOM1 or -COOM2OOC-group and a layer contg. a dye on a base body. CONSTITUTION:An optical recording layer wherein respective layers of a layer (layer A) contg. a vinyl polymer having -COOM1 (M1 is I A or I B group elements of periodic table) or -COOM2OOC- (M2 is IIA or IIB group element), so called ionomer and a layer of a dye such as carbocyanine, ferrocyanine or the like (there is no particular limit for the dye) are laminated in order of the polymer layer and the dye layer or the dye layer and the polymer layer or the polymer layer, the dye layer and the polymer layer, etc. is formed on a base body or the reflection layer provided on the base body. An optical recording body which permits writing from the rear side of the base body in a heat mode and is free from deterioration in erasing even if writing and erasing are repeated is thus obtd. |
