PURPOSE:To effect highly efficient grinding while avoiding the damage of a work by a method wherein the works, abrasive agent and water as well as a compound, if necessary, are loaded into a barrel and only the barrel is rotated, subsequently, the barrel is rotated and revolved by a high-speed planetary rotation. CONSTITUTION:The predetermined amount of work pieces and the abrasive agent are loaded into the barrel 8 through an automatic feeding device 26 and a hopper 25, and water and compound are added thereto if necessary, thereafter, the barrel 8 is closed tightly. Then, when a motor 22 is driven, only the barrel 8 is rotated without rotating a turret 5. The corners of the work pieces are rounded by the rotation of only the barrel 8, and when this first process is finished, the rollers 20 of a determined position stopping device 19 are released out of the recesses 18 of the turret 5 to start the motors 22, 14 to rotate and revolve the barrel 8, thus, the work pieces are ground highly efficiently by the high-speed planetary rotating motion. |
