Transport container

Provided in the transport container are ventilation ducts which extend at the upper and lower edges of the side walls in the longitudinal direction thereof for ventilating the loaded object. Exchangeable filter elements are retained in each ventilation duct such that said elements can be replaced or exchanged for blind closures. In this manner, the new container can be used either as a ventilated container or as an unventilated standard container. The filter elements can be prefabricated independently of the other parts of the transport container and can be inserted in the ventilation ducts at the site of use of the container.
