A prefabricated casing for bathtubs, shower trays or the like, consists of a panel which is produced from a panel core (5) with a facing to be mounted on at least one side and is supported on a height-adjustable foot. The panel core (5) consists of a waterproof, reinforced rigid plastic foam, and the panel (4) is provided with a metal strut (10) in the region of its underside, with which strut the height-adjustable foot (7, 8) is connected, e.g. via a thread. <IMAGE>
