PURPOSE:To execute easily focusing to an object to be photographed, which is intended by a photographer by operating a range finding circuit in the course of focusing, and stopping a movement of a lens for a constant interval of time in response to a focusing signal from said circuit. CONSTITUTION:When an object to be photographed becomes a focused state by driving a lens, both outputs A, B of a range finding circuit 2 output ''H'', ''H'' is sent out of an AND16, and a monostable multivibrator 17 outputs ''H'' for a constant interval of time. As a result, a motor 18 stops, and the lens stops at a position where it becomes a focused state to the object to be photographed while the vibrator 17 outputs ''H''. If the object to be photographed being in a focused state when its lens stops is an intended object to be photographed, an operation of an external operating member is rleased. As a result, the lens stops continuously at the focused position against the intended object to be photographed, and the manual focusing is ended. In this way, the focusing to the object to be photographed, which is intended by a photographer can be executed easily. |
