摘要 In order to exclude the disadvantages of fuel level control by means of float and float needle valve - for example change in the fuel level due to leaking or sticking valve, the formation of bubbles when a hot engine is idling or overflow of the nozzles when the hot engine is at a standstill, a constant fuel level is ensured in the case of a floatless fuel level control by means of an overflow. Since the overflowing fuel is fed to the tank and is replaced by cool fuel from the tank, the formation of bubbles cannot occur even when the carburettor is hot and the fuel expanding due to heating cannot raise the level when the engine is at a standstill. Furthermore when the engine is at a standstill the fuel level can be lowered by means of a fuel level lowering aperture, by means of which overflowing of the nozzles is prevented even in the case of an unfavourable carburettor setting. In a suitably adapted form, the floatless fuel level control system for carburettors can also be fitted in carburettors with floats for the purpose of fuel exchange and lowering of the fuel level.
